Airport Arrival Instructions

Once you arrive at the airport from the aircraft to the terminal building you will be sign posted to Passport/Immigration Control. You will be directed to the "Other nationalities" queue.

Once you are through the Customs hall, at last, you should find yourself in the Arrivals hall. At this point you may be tired from the flight. Make sure that you are vigilant over your luggage to prevent theft

Arriving at your pre booked accommodation

If you have booked LSA pick up, you will find the driver holding the name banner of yourself in the arrival Hall, Please approach the driver and confirm your identity by showing the college letter.

Obtaining Your Transport to your Accommodation:

If you wish to find your way to your accommodation, we recommend those who will be arriving for the first time to the UK to use the Black Cabs or Licensed taxis instead only.

These taxis are very common throughout the airport and easy to find. You need to proceed from the Arrivals Hall out of the building –following signs for Exit and Taxis. Once outside take a moment to check where the Taxi Queue. Make sure you know which queue has the London Black Cabs waiting. Do not get in any other type of cab! They have a tendency to overcharge and not use a direct route to the destinations. Once you have located your black cab – show the driver the address –with the address and instructions for getting to your accommodation.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the student to arrange the accommodation and arrange the pickups, college doesn't take any responsibility in that regard, however as part of our commitment to overseas students we provide accommodation, pickup and other welfare services, upon the request of the students.

Last date to get registered with our HTS partner is 15/10/2012

Dear LSA Students

We have some very good news for you. . An established Highly Trusted Sponsor College (HTS) has fortunately agreed to take on our students. This is good news for you because:

1. You will apply to extend your stay to study further

2. You will not lose your current visa status

3. You will not have an interruption to your courses and academic success.

There are greater benefits to you of LSA’s restructuring and being under the sponsorship of the HTS College, for all serious students.

TO FIND OUT MORE, please attend our open day on Monday 15th October 2012 between 10 am 4 pm or at 10 a.m on Tuesday 16th October 2012 at Learning & Skills Academy Luton.

There will be a presentation from our HTS partners and a chance to get to know them and ask questions. We will spell out your options and the procedures at the presentations. However, please note that it is an urgent matter and the HTS College will only accept LSA students within perhaps a time frame of seven days.

Please be aware that students that do not meet the HTS and LSA’s compliancy conditions and do not sign up within the time given will have no choice but to:

1. Make a new Tier 4 application to another less reputable college, for a visa Extension.

2. Have maintenance funds in their bank account for 28 days of (£1,200) and new college fees +.

We hope you can see this as a better option to be with our partner HTS College than to have to go through with any less reputable college. So it is in your interests to attend this session organised for our serious students.

We look forward to seeing you at the presentation next week.
